Adopt your energy consumption habits slightly and save real money with twingz

Twingz is proud to help consumer drastically increase the efficiency they are using their solar power plants. And having fun along with that due to ability of talking straight to power plants.

Ever thought about what happens to the electric energy a solar power plant is producing and consumers do not use this electrical power? Yes, correct: Utility companies pay back some more or less small fee for that amounts of energy. But what if you could decrease your spend on electrical power, save real EUROs? And furtheron, decrease carbon dioxide emission? Sounds great? We think so as well.

Solar Power Plant answers questions of consumers

How it works: Roughly 40% of electrical power consumption of typical 4 head families in Germany can be modulated or scheduled in a way that those families make use of photovoltaic power that is produced on their roofs. By changing their habits those families can profit of reduced buy in of electrical power and by receiving additional pay-backs as of new law regulations that accelerate paybacks as soon as you are abel to consume more then 30% of electrical energy your solar power plant is producing.

Drastically (40-50%)  reduce the payback period of your solar power plant! Save about  6.000,- to 8.000,-  EUROs in mid term by slightly adopting your consumtion habits!

Nowadays twingz indicates that you should make use of a large amount of elctrical power that is produced for you. What if twingz would enable you to let large consumers of electrical power be auto-adjusted to consume if there is enough cheap (self produced) energy available? Tell us what you think about this:

The most appealing healthcare monitoring applications enable consumers to get test results and medical records sent directly to their mobile devices.”

Electric devices (e.g. household appliances) are enriched with communication features. Users on the go can check back state and healthiness of devices that sit at home. Devices can actively pop up with urgent news (e.g. stove overheat, fridge getting warm, espresso needs decalcifying,…). Users are enabled to interact with devices via their social graph (twitter, facebook, twingz, SMS) resulting in a highly individual graph containing user social graph and device graph featuring high usability and game like user experience. Check on the go which supply fits your printer or if the game console of interest can be connected to your home entertainment center.

@marketers: enrich your social media campaigns on consumer electronics by devices that are enabled to communicate!

Smart Home is a nice thingy – just remote control your everything, save energy by deactivating devices or lowering temperature, activate your burglar alarm, … Just need to erect a new house or company building and spend about 8-10% of total cost on equipping that building with sensors, actuators, local bus-systems, repeaters, concentrators and tons of cables to interconnect all this. Of course this only available for new buildings. Ever thought about the millions of buildings round the globe which already exist and people living in those desperately in need for lowering cost of living. If there would be a light weighted technology, easy to implement for average consumers that enabled remote control and interaction millions of consumers could easily join the better way of spending less carbon dioxide and less money in parallel.

Even flats people live in on a rental basis can be equipped with technology that helps saving money. Lots of companies think “new buidling only” – twingz thinks “all buildings”. Twingz allows to check energy consumption, temperature, humidity,… remotely and enables consumers to directly interact with either devices or power strips. Twingz calls this functionality “Smart Grid Light” – stay tuned for further info.

Type 1 Diabetes

Type 1 Diabetes - typical insulin basal bolus

In the wide field of the Internet Of Things a quite underestimated part is the area of wellness and healthcare. The Internet Of Things is preset to be a good personal assistant and helper in all activities that happen at a regular basis – compare the Internet Of Things Council of Europe http://bit.ly/evdofO .

Given that a huge (and growing) number of people have chronic diseases and inconveniences, leads to demand for automation of repetitively taking measures and repetitively incepting activities. As people become older, they will spend a longer part of their live being accompanied by their chronic diseases. The Internet Of Things can help a lot at that point of mashing up sensors, actuators and feedback to individuals. Suppose people do not need to manually measure their individual level of insulin and do not need to manually track those values for their next visit at their doctor but the Internet Of Things does this for them as they have to do nowadays when being affected by Diabetes Mellitus. Thus people could achieve a mode of living being unstressed by their chronic disease again! For further Information on that topic stay tuned @twingzblog and check the Report on the “Reassembling Health Workshop: Exploring the Role of the Internet of Things” – http://bit.ly/fSg8vA . Or be a part of our special Xmas wish campaign.

Twingz does take this area of Internet Of Things *very* serious – best case of literally taking the proverb “think painkillers not vitamins” and is working hard to bring alive next generation personal wellness solutions.

Up to now smart home and home automation has been a topic for kinda “high-end consumers” (http://bit.ly/eC3XUw) + hassle with lots a cables.
Easy interfaces, including wireless and ethernet over power which both allow connecting without network-cables plus fast access networks for consumers and clever system design make smart home available for everyone at rates that are affordable. Classical usage scenarios include Communication and Control (http://bit.ly/gGztA6).

Twingz adds C*U*S*T*O*M*I*Z*A*T*I*O*N to the basic features of communication and control to make consumers addicted.

Joshua Wrigth – a kinda crazy hacker and mastermind of several exploit posts on wireless protocols shows significant (details http://bit.ly/g6mIas) security problems with ZigBee and IEEE 802.15.4 designed and implemented networks. He introduces a framework based on python calling it KillerBee (details http://bit.ly/e1yIyZ) which allows for pinpointing security and privacy issues with ZigBee based networks which are hyped in some gourps of tinkers.

Twingz is aware of those vulnerabilities and avoids leveraging such technology.
